SITE INSPECTIONS
Site supervision is supervision over construction works performed by the investor supervision inspector of a given discipline. It may be established by the investor or, in cases justified by the high degree of complexity of construction works, the authority issuing the building permit may impose on the investor the obligation to provide construction supervision.
The presence of investor supervision inspectors on the construction site is always beneficial to the investor, because they are there to protect his interests and ensure the proper course of the construction process. Building inspectors have, among others: the right to issue an order to the construction manager to remove irregularities or to re-perform faulty works. This is very important when the construction manager is employed by the general contractor.
